First wushu gold for women’s trio

The Cambodian Wushu has completed all 22 events at the 32nd SEA Games, managing to claim a historic first gold medal in the traditional Chinese martial art.

The trio of Chin Sros, Tin Bopha and Vy Srey Leak took gold in the women's Duilian performance event, scoring 9.443 points to defeat second placed Myanmar, with 9.403, and bronze medal winners Singapore, who earned 9.393 points.

In addition to the women's gold, Team Cambodia claimed three silver and six bronze medals, placing them sixth out of the 10 nations that competed.

Indonesia placed first, with six gold, six silver and a pair of bronze medals, followed by Vietnam, with six gold, three silver and two bronze.

The Singaporean team earned two gold, three silver, and one bronze, while Malaysia claimed two gold, two silver, and six bronze medals, ahead of Brunei, with two gold and two bronze.

Myanmar won one gold, three silver and three bronze. The Philippines took one gold, one silver and four bronze medals, while Thailand claimed one gold, one silver and two bronze.

Laos took the final place, earning three bronze medals.
